Today's Advent Calender textile is a really joyous group of cherubic musicians on a piece of romantic printed purple French toile dating to about 1830. As Christmas and Midwainter draw closer and the snow gets deeper, seasonal music and song stirs the heart, and warms the blood (I awoke to 8" of snow and the town at a standstill, winter is truly here...)!Thursday 2 December 2010

Today's Advent Calender textile is a really joyous group of cherubic musicians on a piece of romantic printed purple French toile dating to about 1830. As Christmas and Midwainter draw closer and the snow gets deeper, seasonal music and song stirs the heart, and warms the blood (I awoke to 8" of snow and the town at a standstill, winter is truly here...)!
