My daughter took this wonderful photo of Chya yesterday evening, craftily curling up on a pile of textiles that I was about to sort. Isn't he lovely? Cats are a bit like children, they look so angelic and innocent when asleep! This wee feline is a psychokiller-cat when awake, mad, manic, very vicious, but incredibly loyal, chatty and loving. We know when to stay out of his way now, when it is raining, for example, he begins to sulk, and then seems to blame us for the weather, and decides that we must pay, and attacks with full claws at any opportunity! Once bored with that, he will sleep off his bad temper, only to go through the whole routine again if it is still raining when he awakes. But thats him, I wouldn't have him any other way!
I have decided to start a new blog, InterestingAntiqueTextiles.blogspot.com. I hope some of you will visit, it will be slightly more technical than this one, with detailed discussions about weird and wonderful or obscure antique textiles which I hope people will join in with!
How exciting, i will certainly take a look at the new blog!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good weekend, Lizzie xxx
I hope you like it Lizzie, one of the first things I am doing is posting about a wreck of a 19thc quilt that I am investgating, as it has some much older layers of floral cotton beaneath. I must pop over to your blog and see what you are up to! I hope you are well, all the best, Lois x
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're busy and happy with it! I will have that bust off of you, but will have to be after half term if that's ok with you my dear? Will try and catch up properly and wishing you good luck for the new blog!

That’s pretty cool. Thanks for the widget.
ReplyDeleteIf someday you no longer want Chya, he has a home waiting here in the US. I love him, no matter what his mood. Obviously he has exquisite taste in textiles. That photo is priceless...so sweet!
