As the festive season approaches, we begin to organise parties and family get-togethers, often travelling from far away to see and celebrate with loved ones. Through the Advent Calender door today, preparations for a long journey are made on this nostalgic French print from the 1940s. I love this vibrant cotton, it would have been used for curtains and bedspreads, often for a child's room as it was around this time that textiles were marketed at parents for children.
