This magnificent beast positively charged through the Advent Calender door today, King of the French forests.
We had a really hard frost last night, if fact when I first looked out of the window, I thought it has snowed lightly. The subtle, muted colours outside put me in mind of a more naturalistic portrayal of a forest than yesterday's fairytale print and I thought of this wonderful French machine-woven tapestry panel c1900-1920 with its muted patina of age and time, perfectly portraying this handsome wild Boar in his element.

Wow! What a striking image. The muted tones are as you say more natural. Thank you for sharing these amazing fabrics this way with us.
