The Lady of Shalott

A range of different interpretations of Tennyson's ballad The Lady of Shalott.

She knows not what the curse may be,
And so she weaveth steadily,
And little other care hath she,
The Lady of Shalott.

  1. One of my favorite poems (and sung by Loreena McKennitt)...I love all of these paintings!
I hope you had a nice summer, and are enjoying the first week of Autumn:-))
    Stella xx

  2. Ssummer was lovely, thank you Stella, but flashed passed all too quickly! You are the second person to have mentioned Loreena McKennitt's song, I must track it down, I used to have one of her cassettes way back in the dark ages... xx

  3. I love all these images. They satisfy my romantic meanderings in my mind. I seem never to assuage this yearning for more.

  4. I totally agree Phyllis! I hope you are well, I must 'visit' your blog soon! xxx
