Exquisite Victorian child's bonnet









This was one of the first things I sold from my cabinet in a Lewes antiques emporium, an exquisite silk Victorian child's bonnet in almost immaculate condition. Embroidered skillfully all over, with delicate silk ribbons & lining, it is indeed a thing of real beauty. I have never seen one in such good condition before, and probably never will.

    Wow Lois that's fabulous. I've not seen one as good as that either. Just once in a while we get an amazing piece ... if only we could keep them all!!!!!

    I agree, I desparately needed to make some sales at that point, but I wish I could have kept it...I hope you are well, we are still working on trying to get to the textile fair in April! Lois x
