Here is a beautiful Christmas Angel behind Sunday 5th December's advent calender door, he is from a wonderful French toile from Bordeaux called Télémaque dans la Grotte de Calypso c1785.

I am getting in the festive mood today with some important Christmas baking, the three most important sweet dishes; I have nearly made the Christmas cake, and hope to get the Christmas plum puddings done if I get time, then maybe make the mincemeat preserve for the mince pies so that the flavours have married and mingled ready for the festive feast!
