David, Gordon & Nick get themselves engraved for Election 2010 posterity

After recent critism of his airbrushed posters, David Cameron decided to opt for a more traditional approach, and got himself engraved. The other 2 were quick to follow suit...

If you are not from the UK, I apologise, but we are all a little jaded by Election Fever here, so I thought I would try my hand at some antique textile based gentle political satire... So here we have the leaders of the 3 main political parties in the UK: David 'I've Got Delusions of Imperial Grandeur, But I really Am Just Like You, Okay Yah' Cameron, Gordon 'You Are All a Bunch of Bigots If You don't Agree With Me' Brown and last but not least, Nick 'Pick Me, Ooh Ooh, Pick Me, I'll Do Things Differently (Heard it all before) Clegg.

  1. Great fun - I love it! Sorry but this reminds me of an earlier election in the early 90s when Thorntons sold sugar lollipops in the colours and images if the three leading parties (same as now). They wanted to keep a tally of buying preferences to predict the final result. I forget if it was in any way accurate, but the yellow ones were the most delicious, LOL!
