The Plethorium of Mme. Le Fay

After quite lot of hard work, we finally furnished our new unit in Emporium Antiques Centre, 42 Cliffe High street, Lewes, 01273 486866. I must say, it looks wonderful, I am really pleased with the look of the whole unit, and look forward to sourcing lots of gorgeous things for it! I now have hankerings for a huge shop...

  1. Um - looking at the date - is this a wind up? I do hope not as I think Plethorium is such an incredible name (why didn't I think of it?) But if it's for real I'll be visiting PDQ and sending all best wishes for your success.

  2. Nope, it's not a wind up, we opened a new unit in an antiques emporium, we thought long and hard about the name, we love 'The Plethorium', it's is a great cross between the wonderful words 'Plethora' and 'Emporium'. Seems perfect for selling weird & wonderful bits & bobs. We have bought the web domain name, and will be starting a website soon! xx

  3. Brilliant - well done Lois. Shall hope to get over to your neck of the woods at some point - maybe a summer Ardingly?

Are you able to come to the DH fair next Sunday?

  6. Oh how wonderful! And you have a window in your space. I think that is pretty special. I would give anything to visit and be a regular customer. The "shop" looks beautiful. I love all the textiles and the way you have set it up. Now a website. More enticements await, and I will be anxious to be a regular viewer and customer. Congratulations!

  7. Thanks Phyllis & Stella, we have sold a few things alraedy, so it all looks very promising. I am going there tomorrow to tidy up and add a few more things, including some French ticking and floral patchwork packs and an ancient painted wooden rocking horse. Lots of fun, I love arranging things! x

  8. PS Phyllis, I agree, the window is pretty special, it was that that sold me the space, even though it isn't in the best part of the Emporium. I am hoping that the bold arrangement and light will draw people in and keep them coming back! The website may take a while, but will be a new adventure when we find the time and technical expertise to set it up.
