Carpe diem

The brutal & untimely death of an old friend has made me think about mortality, and the latin phrase Carpe Diem sprang to mind: roughly translated as Seize the Moment. Now there's a powerful philosophy.

This late 18th century toile de Nantes is elegant yet sombre, and for some reason reflects my current feelings.

  1. I am so sorry to hear about your friend. What a difficult thing this is to always bear. May this piece that you showed bring you some comfort.

    xx
