More about the Most Beautiful Dolls in the World

David & Paul were lovely enough to get back in touch with me recently, with more wonderful pictures of their fabulous creations, work recently finished. I am thrilled, as this time, some of the dresses include fabrics, lace and trim that I have supplied them with, so very exciting indeed! As always, please click on each photo to see the superb detail.

The last picture is one of their first dolls, made in 2003 or 2004, they can't quite remember, dressed simply in patched ticking. I adore this doll. If I was a doll, I would be this one, a wee bit weathered and worn, but still smiling!

David & Paul are working on a website, and there may be the possibility of a blog, but as you can see, their creative enterprises are their top priority! I will of course, post details here the moment I hear from them.

  2. I would never tire looking at these dolls. They are exquisite. How I would love to have one. It is such a treat to be able to click on the photo and see these up close. Such beautiful bits of lace, trim, and antique textiles. They represent all that I am passionate about. I just love the tiny shoes. However I agree with you, Lois. I think I am partial to the more humble lady dressed in the bits of ticking. She definitely is speaking to me.

  4. Hi Lois,
Lovely to catch up on your fabulous posts...these really are truly THE most beautiful dolls in the world. The attention to detail is exquisite...I am in love! I do hope that these two extremely talented guys do manage to open a website (but know all too well how difficult it is to juggle hand crafting with running a site) - I would be so happy to own one of their dolls one day...I suspect I may need to start saving today?...Oh yes, and I have to agree, the patchwork ticking lady does it for me too!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend,
    Niki x
